Microsoft & HP continue to grow their Alliance in Unified Communications
Microsoft & HP have recently announced a 4 year strategic global initiative which is set to deliver a complete unified communications and collaboration based solution.
In the annoucment both companies were likely to invest a further $180 million in R&D, professional services and marketing. The project is geared towards helping business to reduce costs and boost productivity with UC technology.
The combined unified communications solution will incorporate hardware, software, networking and services to help make a reduction in travel, it and telecom running costs. This wil be delivered by streamling comms with messaging, voice and video applications.
The market demand for unified communications is rapidly expanding. Forrester research, an independent analyst company recently released a report showing that 84% of business in North America and Europe are either in the evaulation, pilot or actually implementing unfied communications solutions with the market forcast set to expand another 35% towards 2015.
